SUPPORT GROUP.
Tuesdays 6.30pm - 8.30pm
The
support group is for individuals who would like support from their
peers. It provides an opportunity to talk over issues
to do with drinking, and how to reduce or stop, with others in a similar
position. It is similar to the facilities provided by AA, but the
philosophy that underpins it is different. It does not have a religious
bias and alcoholism is not seen as a disease.
There is no charge for this service.
It
is a facilitated group. The facilitators can provide general
information on alcohol, strategies for cutting down or stopping and
details of other services available.
Anyone
wishing to take part requires a short telephone assessment. Please
