Akousis Therapists

Akousis is owned and run by three practitioners who have a wide variety of training and experience.

Robin Aaronson

Robin Aaronson has a BA(Hons) in Person-Centred Counselling from the Metanoia Institute, West London.  He has particular experience of working with adolescents and young adults, and with survivors of sexual abuse.  He previously worked for Kinergy and at the Bristol University student counselling sevice.  Prior to training as a counsellor, he worked in a variety of businesses and public sector organisations.

Alision Scrivens

Alison Scrivens has a BSc in Behavioral Science and a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling.  Alison is in the final stages of UKCP registration as an Integrative Psychotherapist and Supervisor.   Alison has varied experience of working with adult clients particularly those with alcohol and drug issues.  Alison currently works in private practice and for Coleg Gwent where she works with staff, adolescents and young adult learners.

Ronnie Aaronson

Ronnie Aaronson is UKCP accredited.   She has a B.ED (Hons) (London University) and an MA in Psychodynamic Counselling (Reading University). She has a diploma in Supervision (Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute) and an Integrative Psychotherapist training (SPTI). Ronnie has worked in primary care. She set up and is co-project leader of the SWAN Project – an agency working to help anyone who wants to change their alcohol use. She works in private practice and supervises in several other drug and alcohol agencies.
